| This
system detects when a frail and vulnerable patient leaves
the bed. It comprises a pressure-sensor pad in the bed connected
to a bed monitor unit. A range of bed monitor units are available,
selection depending upon the application.
Monitor
types:
1.
Voice bed monitor (BMV-01) has selectable voice and
tone sound options with LED alert if the patient leaves the
bed. The voice message is pre-programmed, eg. To say "Please
lie back down" or "Please sit back down" .
Three output levels can be selected, including delay setting.
2. Safety reset bed monitor (BMS-01) Automatically
rearms when the patient sits down on the pad. The manual-reset
button can be disabled by adjusting the recessed switch in
the side of the monitor unit and a carer may use the magnetic
reset caregiver key (patent applied). This prevents a difficult
patient from resetting an alarm himself by pressing the reset
button.
3. Standard bed monitor (BME-01) is a low-cost,
stand-alone monitor with limited features. A switch is provided
for the caregiver to easily switch the unit on/ff and it also
used to reset an active alarm. It can provided different tone
sounds and an LED alert to the caregiver if the patient leaves
the bed.
4.
Pull string bed monitor with magnet (BMPS-01) is
simple but effective system includes a magnet that is attached
to the front panel of the monitor via a cord. The cord has
an attachment clip. When the cord is pulled eg. By the patient
moving out of the bed or wheelchair, the magnet is detached
from the monitor unit causing an alarm to be activated.
