Getting on and off the toilet can to be hazardous for some elderly patients. A curtain type motion sensor can be configured to detect when a patient gets off the toilet, activating the alarm outside the room. This allows caregiver to immediately come to assistance of the elderly to prevent any untoward accidents that may result.
